Ram Navami 2026: Living Ramayana on Damodar Riverbed, Ram Temple from Sand!
•A unique sand art workshop in Gaitanpur Charmana, Purba Bardhaman, brought the Ramayana to life for Ram Navami 2026.
•Artists from across the state created a replica of the Ayodhya Ram Temple and various Ramayana scenes using 6 tractor-trolleys of sand from the Damodar River.
•Organized by 'Nature of the Canvas' and 'Gaitanpur Charmana Panchamukh Hanuman Temple', the event showcased devotion and art.
•Led by Ranganjib Roy, 10-12 artists depicted heroic tales of Hanuman and other Ramayana scenes, defying intense sun.
•The sandy banks of the Damodar transformed into an open-air art gallery, aiming to popularize sand art and the Ramayana story.
