West Bengal: 50,000 Names Excluded from Voter List Before Hearings End

• 50,000 names have been excluded from the West Bengal voter list even before the completion of hearings.
• These individuals did not attend hearings, and no trace of them was found, leading to their exclusion.
• The Election Commission also excluded several thousand mapped voters who did not appear for scrutiny.
• Over 3,000 names were removed based on information received from FRRO (Foreigners Regional Registration Office).
• Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Agarwal confirmed that hearings for 10-12 lakh voters are still pending in the state.
