Severe Cold, Dense Fog Alert Across North India; Western Disturbance to Bring Rain, Snow
- •A new Western Disturbance will affect the Western Himalayas from January 16, bringing rain and snowfall to J&K, Ladakh, Muzaffarabad, and Himachal Pradesh.
- •Light rain is expected in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, West Uttar Pradesh, and East Rajasthan between January 18-20.
- •Dense to very dense fog is predicted for Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and parts of Uttar Pradesh until January 19.
- •Cold wave conditions are likely in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Odisha on January 15-16.
- •Northeast Monsoon rains are expected to cease over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, and adjoining regions in the next two days.
