• Police found a diary revealing the girls' disappointment over being kept from Korean dramas and K-Pop; one phone was sold 15 days prior.
• Chetan Kumar had a debt of approximately 2 crore rupees; girls were not sent to school due to severe financial hardship.
• A sister of Sujata and Hina also died in 2018 after falling from a balcony, reported as an accident.
