Opposition Moves to Remove Om Birla: Key Rules for Lok Sabha Speaker's Removal

Opposition initiates motion to remove Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla under Article 94(c) of the Constitution.

A Speaker can be removed by a resolution passed by a majority of all then-members of the Lok Sabha.

Any MP can initiate the motion with a 14-day notice and support from at least 50 MPs for admission.
