Pune: Customs busts massive drug racket in Sanaswadi, MD worth 1.79 Cr seized, Sagar arrested
- •Customs Department raided a flat in Sanaswadi, Pune, seizing mephedrone (MD) worth 1.79 crore rupees.
- •898 grams and 94 milligrams of MD were recovered from the flat during the raid.
- •Sagarmal alias Sagar Bishnoi, 26, from Jodhpur, Rajasthan, was arrested for operating a drug network from the rented flat.
- •This is considered the largest drug operation in rural Pune after the Kurkumbh drug case.
- •Accused Sagarmal has been remanded to police custody under the NDPS Act for further investigation into a potential interstate racket.
