Pune Shocker: Man Run Over for Rs 50 Extortion in Pimpri-Chinchwad

• A scrap dealer, Mayur Ashok Lokhande, was allegedly run over by a vehicle in Ravet, Pimpri-Chinchwad, for refusing to pay a Rs 50 extortion.
• The incident occurred on January 13 when accused Vinod alias Vinya Gaikwad demanded Rs 50 from Lokhande for doing business in the area.
• Upon Lokhande's refusal, Gaikwad and his accomplices verbally abused, assaulted, and then deliberately ran him over, causing serious injuries.
• Ravet police have registered a case of attempted murder and extortion against Vinod alias Vinya Gaikwad, Akshay Prabhakar Sable, and Bhushan Bhosale.
