•A Pune teacher lost Rs 2 lakh to cyber fraudsters exploiting human emotions.
•The scammer, posing as 'Ravindra', claimed his mother was in ICU and needed urgent funds.
•The fraudster sent fake messages and screenshots to convince the teacher money was deposited into her account.
•Driven by empathy, the teacher transferred Rs 2 lakh via Google Pay and UPI over two days.
•The fraud was uncovered when the teacher realized no money had been deposited into her account, leading to a police complaint at Khadak Police Station.
