  • Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced the Indian Super League (ISL) will commence on February 14, with all 14 clubs participating.
  • The I-League, also previously paused, is set to begin "around the same time" featuring all 11 clubs.
  • The leagues were on hold due to the absence of a commercial partner, a situation now addressed by the government and AIFF.
  • A ₹25 crore central pool is established for the ISL, with AIFF contributing ₹14 crore for ISL and ₹3.2 crore for I-League until a partner is secured.
  • AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey confirmed a Governing Council Board will be formed to manage the leagues and commercial decisions.
