Qualcomm Unveils Snapdragon Wear Elite: Powering Next-Gen AI Wearables at MWC 2026
•Qualcomm launched Snapdragon Wear Elite, its most powerful wearable processor, at MWC 2026, designed for AI-powered wearables.
•The Elite chip features a 3nm build, a 5-core CPU architecture (2.1 GHz performance core, four 1.95 GHz cores), and a 5x boost in single-core performance over W5+ Gen 2.
•It includes a Hexagon NPU for on-device AI tasks like real-time transcription and translation, and an eNPU for low-power, always-on functions.
•Connectivity upgrades include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6.0, UWB, 5G RedCap, and NB-NTN satellite communication, with a new micro-power Wi-Fi mode.
•Devices with the Elite chip promise 30% better battery life, 50% charge in 10 minutes, and support Android, Wear OS, and Linux, with Samsung's next Galaxy Watch confirmed to use it.
