IIT Bombay Alum Devendra Chaplot Joins SpaceX, xAI to Build Superintelligence with Elon Musk

•Devendra Singh Chaplot, an IIT Bombay alumnus and AI expert, announced joining SpaceX and xAI to work directly under Elon Musk.
•He will focus on developing superintelligence, aiming to combine "physical and digital intelligence" within the unified entities.
•Chaplot brings extensive experience from his roles as a founding member of Mistral and TML, and a Research Scientist at Facebook AI Research (FAIR) Lab.
•An accomplished academic, he achieved All India Rank 25 in IIT-JEE and International Rank 5 in the International Mathematics Olympiad.
•Elon Musk welcomed Chaplot, whose move follows SpaceX's acquisition of xAI to merge AI and space ambitions.
