India Mandates Digital e-Arrival Card for Foreign Travelers from April 1
•India will replace paper disembarkation forms with a mandatory digital e-Arrival card for foreign nationals and OCI cardholders from April 1, 2026.
•The digital e-Arrival card, introduced in October 2025, must be submitted within 72 hours prior to arrival in India.
•It serves as a data collection and security tool, recording travel details like entry information, purpose of visit, and stay details.
•Travelers need to provide name, nationality, passport details, contact info, flight details, and purpose of visit.
•The card can be submitted via the Bureau of Immigration website, Indian visa online portal, or Su-Swagatam mobile app; a QR code will be issued for immigration.
