•A 53-year-old man died in Linz after a snow plough accident; four skiers were killed in avalanches in Tyrol.
•Three avalanche victims died near St Anton, and a German skier was buried at Nauders, leaving his son seriously injured.
•Tyrol authorities urge skiers to avoid off-piste slopes as avalanche deaths this winter season reach 21.
•Up to 40 cm of snow fell, leading to Vienna airport closures, highway blockages, and 30,000 homes losing power in Styria.
