Iran's GPS Spoofing: Pilots Misled, Flights Risk Entering Enemy Territory
•Iran is reportedly using "GPS Spoofing" to mislead aircraft over the UAE and Persian Gulf, creating an "invisible war" in the Middle East.
•GPS Spoofing sends fake signals, making pilots believe they are on course while actually being directed towards enemy territory, unlike jamming where signals disappear.
•Iran's indigenous Cobra V8 electronic warfare system, designed for missiles and drones, is suspected of causing these disruptions up to 250 km.
•Since March 1st, over 1,000 ships and hundreds of flights have reported fake signals, with navigation systems showing planes inside Iranian territory.
•Pilots are now being trained to use traditional radio beacons, physical maps, and ground signals to counter this digital deception, as anti-spoofing software is still developing.
