Jaishankar to attend G7 Foreign Ministers' meeting in France

• External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar will visit Abbaye des Vaux-de-Cernay, France, for the G7 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting on March 26-27.
• India, though not a G7 member, was invited by current chair France as a partner country, alongside Saudi Arabia, South Korea, and Brazil.
• The meeting will address the escalating West Asia crisis, focusing on keeping the Strait of Hormuz open for global shipping.
• Discussions will also cover the war in Ukraine, reconstruction efforts, maritime security, and global governance reform.
• EAM Jaishankar is expected to hold bilateral discussions with counterparts on the sidelines of the meeting.
