PM Modi, Seychelles President Herminie Boost Maritime Security, Bilateral Ties in Delhi

• PM Modi and Seychelles President Dr Patrick Herminie held talks in New Delhi, focusing on maritime security, economic development, and bilateral relations.
• President Herminie's visit, his first since taking office, coincides with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Seychelles.
• External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met President Herminie, acknowledging Seychelles' support for India’s Vision MAHASAGAR.
• Seychelles is recognized by India as a key maritime neighbor and an important partner in India’s Vision MAHASAGAR and engagement with the Global South.
• During his visit, President Herminie also discussed healthcare services in Chennai and maritime trade in Mumbai, and is expected to meet President Droupadi Murmu.
