Sudan Hospital Strike Kills 64, WHO Demands End to Conflict
•A strike on El-Daein Teaching Hospital in East Darfur, Sudan, killed 64 people, including 13 children, and wounded 89 others.
•WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus condemned the attack, stating "enough blood has been spilled" and calling for an end to the nearly three-year conflict.
•The hospital is now non-functional due to extensive damage to its paediatric, maternity, and emergency departments, interrupting essential medical services.
•Sudanese rights group Emergency Lawyers reported the hospital was hit by an army drone strike; the total killed in healthcare attacks in the conflict now exceeds 2,000.
•The WHO is supporting local health partners to fill urgent gaps by scaling up capacity at other facilities and deploying trauma care supplies.
