• Newly elected BNP MPs refused to take oath as members of the Constitution Reform Council, following instructions from Tarique Rahman.
• The oath ceremony for new MPs of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party took place at the National Parliament in Dhaka.
• An interim government led by Muhammad Yunus and 30 political parties had presented a reform plan in July 2025.
• BNP won 209 seats in the 13th parliamentary election, while Jamaat-e-Islami secured 68 seats.
