Thailand PM Anutin Declared Election Winner, Bhumjaithai Secures Most Seats

Caretaker Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul's conservative Bhumjaithai party confirmed as election winner by Thailand's Election Commission.

Bhumjaithai won 170 constituencies, the most of any party, with 396 newly elected MPs certified in the 500-seat lower house.

The reformist People's Party came in second with 88 constituencies, while Pheu Thai secured 58 seats.
•
Bhumjaithai and Pheu Thai have agreed to form a coalition government, joined by several smaller parties.
•
Votes in three constituencies are being recounted, and a single polling station will recast ballots due to transparency concerns.
