US orders non-emergency staff to leave Lahore, Karachi amid security fears

•US Department of State instructs non-essential employees and families to evacuate consulates in Karachi and Lahore.
•Move driven by mounting security concerns, regional volatility, and widespread demonstrations in Pakistan.
•Visa processing and regular consular appointments in Karachi and Lahore halted until at least March 6.
