3 Naxalites, Including Woman, Surrender in Kanker; Hand Over Weapons

• Three Naxalites, including a woman, surrendered in Chhattisgarh’s Kanker district on Saturday.
• The surrendered cadres, Radhika Kunjam, Sandip Kadiyam, and Rainu Padda, included two 'Area Committee Members' of the banned CPI (Maoist).
• They handed over two Self-Loading Rifles (SLR) and a .303 rifle to the police.
• Efforts are underway to encourage other active Naxalite cadres to surrender based on information provided.
• More than 2,700 Maoists have joined the mainstream in the past 26 months under the state’s rehabilitation policy.
