Amelia Kerr named New Zealand Women's team captain across all formats

Amelia Kerr appointed captain for New Zealand Women's team in all formats, succeeding Sophie Devine.

The 25-year-old all-rounder will lead both ODI and T20I teams, having previously captained in two ODIs and two T20Is.
•
Kerr's first assignment as captain will be a home ODI and T20I series against Zimbabwe later this month.
•
She expressed excitement and privilege at leading her country, calling it a childhood dream.
•
Since her 2016 debut, Kerr has scored 3,757 runs and taken 201 wickets, and was Player of the Tournament in the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
