Bengal: EC Disposes of 52 Lakh Voter Cases, Publishes 8th Supplementary List

•The Election Commission (EC) published its eighth supplementary list on Thursday.
•Around 52 lakh voter cases under adjudication in West Bengal have been disposed of.
•The EC expects to complete the remaining 8 lakh cases within four days, by April 7.
•Approximately 35-40% of names have been deleted from the electoral rolls so far.
•Judicial officers are conducting the adjudication, with security measures enhanced after an incident in Malda.
