Bengal: EC Disposes of 52 Lakh Voter Cases, Publishes 8th Supplementary List

The Election Commission (EC) published its eighth supplementary list on Thursday.
•
Around 52 lakh voter cases under adjudication in West Bengal have been disposed of.
•
The EC expects to complete the remaining 8 lakh cases within four days, by April 7.
•
Approximately 35-40% of names have been deleted from the electoral rolls so far.
•
Judicial officers are conducting the adjudication, with security measures enhanced after an incident in Malda.
