Bengal Inducts 25 AC CNG Buses, Aims for 200 by March-End

West Bengal Transport Department adds 25 new air-conditioned CNG buses to Kolkata's fleet.
•
State plans to expand the AC CNG bus fleet to 200 by March-end to modernize public transport and curb pollution.
•
New buses operate on 21 green corridors connecting Kolkata with Howrah, North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas, and the New Town–Sector V IT hub.
•
Routes include Kudghat-Barasat, Joka-Barasat, Tollygunge-Habra-via Airport, and Howrah-Baruipur.
•
84 electric vehicle chargers to be installed across 19 bus depots, supporting a shift to sustainable transport.
