NH-34 Transformation: Shahgarh-Damoh Superfast, 531 Crore Boost for Gangotri-Jabalpur Route

• National Highway 34, connecting Gangotri to Jabalpur, is undergoing a 531 crore upgrade, converting it into a two-lane road with paved shoulders.
• The 63-kilometer Shahgarh-Damoh section is being enhanced with 5 major bridges and 4 bypasses (Bakswaha, Bhatera, Narsinghgarh, Pipariya Champat).
• The upgrade will reduce the Shahgarh-Jabalpur distance by 16 km, saving 1 hour of travel time and fuel.
• The project will connect dozens of villages, boost local businesses, promote tourism, and strengthen connectivity in Bundelkhand and Mahakaushal regions.
• NH-34, a 1426 km route, is vital for Char Dham Yatra pilgrims, industrial cities, and connects major sites like Orchha, Khajuraho, and Rani Durgavati Tiger Reserve.
