Bihar Government Signs MoU to Revive Two Closed Sugar Mills

Bihar government signs MoU with National Federation of Cooperative Sugar Factories Ltd to revive two closed sugar mills.
•
NFCSF will prepare detailed project and feasibility reports, and provide consultancy for setting up the mills.
•
The two mills, located at Sakri (Madhubani) and Raiyam (Darbhanga), have been closed since 1997.
•
Revival aims to create employment, ensure fair prices for sugarcane farmers, and boost local economy.
•
Proposed sugarcane complexes at Sakri and Raiyam will include sugar production, power generation, ethanol, and CBG production.
