Chhattisgarh Agriculture Official Arrested for Rape on Pretext of Marriage

•A Chhattisgarh agriculture department staffer, Rahul Sahu (35), was arrested for allegedly raping a woman.
•Sahu, an agriculture marketing officer in Gharghodha, was in a relationship with the 30-year-old woman.
•He reportedly called off their marriage, which was scheduled for this month.
•The woman accused Sahu of raping her for the past year under the pretext of marriage.
•Sahu was arrested in Gharghodha and brought to Korba; further investigation is ongoing.
