CM Mann Inaugurates Ferozepur Feeder Canal Reconstruction, Boosts Malwa Irrigation

• Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann inaugurated the first phase of Ferozepur Feeder Canal reconstruction at Makhu.
• The Rs 180 crore project increases the canal's carrying capacity from 11,192 cusecs to 13,873 cusecs.
• The canal's depth increased from 18 to 21 feet, and width from 163 to 180 feet, benefiting 6.45 lakh hectares in four districts.
• Mann stated canal water now reaches 68% of Punjab's fields, aiming for 85% by the coming paddy season.
• Reiterating his stance on water sharing, Mann affirmed Punjab has no surplus water and will not share a single drop.
