CM Mohan Yadav: Madhya Pradesh Health Services Are Strengthening Rapidly

• CM Mohan Yadav announced significant strengthening of health services in Madhya Pradesh, focusing on quality, accessibility, and modern medical facilities.
• The state has seen a decline in Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) from 173 to 142 and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) from 41 to 37, alongside improved discharge rates from SNCUs and NRCs.
• Madhya Pradesh is among the top five states nationally in the Tuberculosis Elimination Programme and has issued 4.43 crore Ayushman Bharat cards, providing free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh.
• The number of medical colleges has increased from 6 in 2003 to 33 currently, with plans for 6 new government and 13 PPP model medical colleges.
• MBBS seats have risen to 5,550 and PG seats to 2,862, with new medical colleges under development in Katni, Dhar, Panna, and Betul, and advanced medical equipment installed across major cities.
