Sitamarhi to Get 500-Bed Hospital, Medical College by 2026: A Major Boost

• Sitamarhi district is set to receive a 500-bed state-of-the-art hospital, a medical college, and a BSc Nursing College in Muradpur, Dumra block, costing approximately 665 crore rupees.
• Over 90% of the construction work is complete, with the campus expected to be operational by 2026.
• The project, spread over 25 acres, includes 25 earthquake-resistant buildings for OPD, IPD, academic blocks, hostels, and essential infrastructure.
• An initial budget of 565 crore rupees was increased by 100 crore to incorporate modern medical equipment, advanced operation theaters, and digital health systems, making it a major medical center in North Bihar.
