CPI fields veteran leaders in all 5 seats for TN Assembly polls

• CPI, an ally of DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance, announced candidates for five seats in the upcoming TN Assembly elections.
• K Marimuthu (55) re-nominated for Thiruthuraipoondi, a seat he won in 2021.
• Veteran T Ramachandran (58) to contest Thalli for the fifth time, having won in 2006, 2011, and 2021.
• P L Sundaram (57) fielded from Bhavanisagar, a seat he won in 2016.
• Ravi alias M Subramanian (69) for Tiruppur North and B Mahalingam (52) for Srivilliputhur also nominated.
