Customs Duty Deferred Payment Scheme for Manufacturers Starts April 1

•Eligible Manufacturer Importers (EMIs) can clear goods without upfront customs duty payment.
•Applicable duty can be paid monthly, improving cash flow and working capital for manufacturers.
•Scheme aims to boost ease of doing business, strengthen compliance, and promote domestic manufacturing.
•Existing AEO-T1 entities, including MSMEs, are eligible to participate.
•Applications open online from March 1, 2026, on the AEO portal; scheme valid until March 31, 2028.
