Delhi Mayor flags off 48 new CNG trucks to boost horticulture waste collection

Delhi Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh launched 48 new tipper trucks to strengthen horticulture waste collection in the capital.
•
The CNG-powered trucks feature hydraulic tipping systems, meet BS-VI emission standards, and were quality-checked by IIT Delhi.
•
Funded by the Union government under the Urban Development Fund (UDF), these vehicles will transport green waste to designated centers.
•
This addition increases the horticulture department's fleet to 74 vehicles, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual effort.
•
The civic body is collaborating with the Delhi government to improve sanitation and green waste management across the city.
