Delhi to Build 2.7-km Protection Wall Along Mungeshpur Drain to Prevent Flooding

Delhi's irrigation and flood control department plans to construct a 2.7-km protection wall along the Mungeshpur drain in Outer Delhi.
•
The project aims to prevent flooding in villages and colonies near the Haryana border, which experienced damage last year.
•
The work will cover both sides of the drain, include repairing and raising the inspection road, and cost over Rs 4.3 crore.
•
A tender has been issued, and the project is expected to be completed in six months after awarding.
•
The department is also undertaking a similar 5-km protection wall project along the Yamuna River from Majnu Ka Tila to Kashmere Gate.
