DGCA Revises Air Ticket Refund Norms: Cancel or Change Within 48 Hours

•Aviation watchdog DGCA revises air ticket refund norms, making them more passenger-friendly.
•Passengers can now cancel or change air tickets without additional charge within 48 hours of booking, subject to conditions.
•Airlines must not levy extra charges for name corrections within 24 hours of booking if done directly via airline website.
•For tickets bought via travel agents, airlines are responsible for refunds, to be completed within 14 working days.
•New norms also include changes for ticket cancellations due to medical emergencies.
