ED Grills Ex-TDB President Vasu in Sabarimala Gold Loss Probe

• ED questioned former TDB president N Vasu regarding the Sabarimala gold 'loss' money laundering investigation.
• Vasu was previously arrested by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the Sabarimala gold loss cases and recently released on statutory bail.
• The ED has also questioned former Sabarimala administrative officers S Sreekumar and Murari Babu, former TDB secretary S Jayasree, and actor Jayaram.
• The agency filed a PMLA case in January based on two Kerala police FIRs concerning alleged gold misappropriation from Dwarapalaka idols and Sreekovil door frames.
• The Kerala High Court-supervised SIT is investigating the alleged gold misappropriation from the Lord Ayyappa temple.
