ED Grills Sabarimala Tantri Kandararu Rajeevaru in Gold Loss Probe

• The Enforcement Directorate questioned Sabarimala tantri Kandararu Rajeevaru in connection with a money laundering probe linked to the Sabarimala gold loss.
• Rajeevaru is the 16th accused in a case related to gold loss from Dwarapalaka plates and 13th in another concerning Sreekovil doorframes.
• A vigilance court previously granted him bail in both cases, stating there was “not even an iota of evidence” against him.
• ED also questioned former Travancore Devaswom Board official N Vasu, S Sreekumar, Murari Babu, S Jayasree, and actor Jayaram in the probe.
• The agency filed a PMLA case in January based on Kerala police FIRs regarding alleged gold misappropriation; a SIT is also investigating.
