El Mencho's Death Triggers Deadly Cartel Violence: 25 National Guard Troops Killed
•25 Mexican National Guard troops killed in violent clashes after the death of drug cartel leader Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, also known as "El Mencho."
•The violence erupted in Jalisco following an operation that eliminated El Mencho, leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
•30 suspected criminals were killed in Jalisco and four in Michoacan during the clashes.
•Criminal groups launched retaliatory attacks, setting up over 250 roadblocks across 20 states and engaging in gun battles.
•An additional 2,500 security personnel will be deployed to Jalisco to reinforce forces and stabilize the region.
