Election Commission to visit Assam for 3-day poll preparedness review from Feb 16

• Full Election Commission bench, led by CEC Gyanesh Kumar, to visit Assam for three days starting February 16.
• The visit aims to review preparedness for the upcoming assembly polls in the state.
• CEC Kumar, along with Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi, will meet political party leaders, regulatory authorities, DEOs, and SPs on February 17.
• Separate meetings are scheduled with the chief secretary, home secretary, DGP, chief electoral officer, and other senior Assam government officials.
• The team is expected to address mediapersons on February 18, the final day of their visit.
