• Patel, a fourth-year B.Tech student from Mumbai, was found hanging in his room at Parul University's Tagore Bhawan boys’ hostel.
• The room was locked from the inside, and he was discovered by the hostel warden after failing to respond to knocks.
• Police found no suicide note, but Patel's mobile phone has been sent for forensic analysis.
