Ex-Puducherry Congress Chief A V Subramanian Resigns from Party

Former Puducherry Congress unit president A V Subramanian submitted his resignation to the party on Friday.

He cited "personal reasons" and "unavoidable circumstances" for his decision to quit.

The resignation follows the denial of a ticket to Subramanian for the upcoming assembly polls.

Subramanian had previously served as speaker, deputy speaker, and minister in the Congress government.

The Congress has nominated A M Ranjith for the Karaikal North constituency in the upcoming elections on April 9.
