Fake Cop Busted in Latur: Man Cheated Victims Posing as Police Officer

A man was arrested in Latur, Maharashtra, for impersonating a police officer and cheating people.
•
The accused, Vijay Aniruddha Kadam (25) from Parbhani, tracked theft cases in newspapers to find victims.
•
He used fake documents and a purported UPSC interview video to gain trust, promising to recover stolen property.
•
Kadam extracted large sums of money from victims, including Rs 5 lakh from an Ahmedpur complainant.
•
Police recovered Rs 4.3 lakh in cash from him; he admitted to similar frauds in Nanded and Parbhani.
