Man loses Rs 71.1 lakh to cyber fraudsters posing as CBI officers

A 42-year-old man from Thane district was duped of Rs 71.1 lakh by cyber fraudsters.
•
Fraudsters posed as CBI officers and threatened to implicate him in a false harassment case.
•
The victim initially received a call from someone claiming to be from TRAI, alleging abusive messages were sent.
•
Accused sent forged documents, purportedly from the Supreme Court, to make their claims appear genuine.
•
The fraud was uncovered when the victim's wife found discrepancies in the documents and questioned the accused.
