Faridabad DCP (NIT) transferred after Surajkund mela tragedy

• IPS officer Maqsood Ahmed, Faridabad DCP (NIT), transferred with immediate effect.
• He has been posted as SP, Police Headquarters, Panchkula.
• Transfer follows a swing collapse at Surajkund fairgrounds, killing a police inspector and injuring 12.
• Two arrests made in connection with the incident; Opposition blames government negligence.
• Haryana Police Service officer Suresh Kumar also transferred as DSP, Hodal (Palwal).
