Former IPS Officer Amitabh Thakur Released on Bail in Land Fraud Case

•Former IPS officer Amitabh Thakur, arrested in December for land fraud, has been released on bail.
•Thakur was accused of fraudulently securing an industrial plot in 1999 while serving as Deoria SP.
•Allegations state he misused his position to get land registered in his wife Nutan Thakur's name using fabricated documents.
•His wife allegedly secured the plot using forged names and addresses.
•Thakur left Deoria district jail after the chief judicial magistrate's court issued his release order.
