Gujarat DGP Opens New Anti-Narcotics Task Force Office in Ahmedabad

• Gujarat DGP K L N Rao inaugurated a new zonal office of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) in Ahmedabad.
• The ANTF office is part of the government's expanded crackdown on the drug trade, with 213 units across the state.
• Six zonal offices, including Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, and a border area office, are led by DSPs.
• The task force will specifically handle cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS Act).
• Gujarat Police seized 20,995 kg of drugs worth Rs 2,248 crore over the past year.
