Chemistry Graduate Busted for Running Mephedrone Unit from Rented House in Gujarat

• Anil Rakholiya, 33, a Chemistry graduate, arrested for operating a mephedrone manufacturing unit from his rented house in Bharuch, Gujarat.
• Police seized mephedrone worth Rs 2.24 lakh, raw materials, and equipment from House No. 301 at Siddh Co-operative Housing Society in Ankleshwar GIDC.
• Rakholiya, a production officer, used his academic background to experiment and produce drugs after reportedly incurring stock market losses.
• He set up a laboratory in his bathroom and had been producing mephedrone for the past six months.
• A case registered under the NDPS Act; police investigating source of raw materials and customers.
