• Wheat procurement starts April 1, 2026, with a target of 72 lakh metric tonnes set by the Government of India.
• 416 mandis designated for wheat, 112 for mustard, 25 for barley, 11 for gram, and 7 for lentil procurement.
• Improvements made to state portals, mandatory vehicle number display, geo-fencing of mandis, and biometric verification for farmers using e-Kharid app.
