Rajasthan Targets 23 Lakh MT Wheat Procurement at Rs 2735 MSP; Hanumangarh Leads

Rajasthan aims to procure 23 lakh metric tons of wheat at an MSP of Rs 2735 per quintal for the 2026-27 marketing year, including a Rs 150 bonus.
•
Procurement officially began on March 16, with major arrivals expected in Sri Ganganagar and Hanumangarh mandis by early April.
•
Hanumangarh district leads the procurement target with 34.6% of the additional 7.95 lakh MT, followed by Sri Ganganagar and Kota.
•
66 procurement centers have been established across districts, allocated to agencies like FCI, Rajfed, and Nafed.
•
Hanumangarh and Sri Ganganagar, known as the "wheat bowls" of Rajasthan, consistently lead in wheat production and procurement.
