•Hindustan Copper Ltd (HCL) is actively pursuing Navratna status, a testament to its improved operations and strategic growth.
•The company aims to achieve this prestigious status, which grants greater financial and operational autonomy, including investing up to Rs 1,000 crore without government approval.
•HCL is aggressively expanding its mining operations, targeting a capacity of 12.2 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) by 2030 from the current 4 MTPA.
•As the country’s sole vertically integrated refined copper facility, HCL handles exploration, mining, beneficiation, smelting, refining, and casting.
•HCL has also formed a strategic partnership with CODELCO, the world’s largest copper producer, to expand its global footprint.
